boxing is also just not classic because it wasn't possible to run two copies of everquest on the same computer. nowadays you can "multi-box" a full group of 6 on a single computer. Back in the day if you didn't monitor a school computer lab you weren't going to be doing that. Some people did play everquest on two seperate computers in the 1999-2001 era but is was very rare.
now in 2017 it's extremely easy to automate and run several copies of everquest at the same time. part of what made classic everquest great was the "social" factor this enforced and how the game was designed around teamwork.
If multi-boxing was classic somehow I doubt it would've been outlawed here, but it really wasn't classic.
