Before Velious was released,
a single person locked down King Tranix (8hr respawn) for over a week for the only tradeable 20mr item in the game.
Ragefire (cle epic+COFs+more) is killable with 2-3 characters (or one person with a bunch of healing items). You can only spawn him once per lore pearl though.
Spore king (Fungi tunic) is killable with 3 characters. (or at least used to be...not sure nowadays)
Sir Lucan (paladin epic/Soulfire clicky CHx5 any class from inventory) is soloable by any class that can snare or root.
These are just a few examples. You can insert any plat camp into here for this example.
So, You have all these things that can be camped for plat.
Lets say you have someone who owns 13 level 60s across 13 accounts (account trading used to be legal, so 13 is not an outlandish figure imho)
He parks 2 on Lucan waiting for spawn,
4 at Ragefire waiting for spawn (or 3 at rage and 1 at tranix, since hell, you're there anyway)
actively farms spore king in the meantime with the other 6. (cus 6@king is easymode)
Ragefire pops, triggered with a pearl, can't lose unless you try with any 60 tank+CH+torpor [I've healed it as a druid with manastone+1tank+1dps in velious era and still had half mana left] (pearl is replaced later with box13 which has toons loaded with pearls bound at spawn point of rage). Corpse or port w/box13 any lore items beyond what you can hold/use.
Tranix pops, is pulled up to rage room, he's a soloable kill and is nothing for the 4. corpse or port w/box13 any lore items beyond what you can hold/use.
Lucan pops, can be killed practically AFK with a shaman+tank. Corpse or port w/box13 any lore items beyond what you can hold/use. (paladin tank rez ftw)
Fungi king farm in the meantime.
hell, stick box13 on Hadden and lock down fishbones while you're at it.
That's my view on the "negative contribution"
Granted, this is a "blue" perspective, if you play red...well good luck handling those 10 necro lifetap bombs porting your way. (While you're chain bardmezzed)
