We almost always gender people based on secondary sex characteristics and behavior so it baffles me why outside of romantic interest the average stranger would care what's in another's pants. It's not liek we all walk around in crotchless zentai.

My perspective is the typical human judges others and when they determine the judged are different than themselves their natural reaction is to distrust and dislike. It doesn't matter that the judged pose no danger, the fact they are different is enough to justify persecution.
I never considered much of what you wrote on earlier, but that was deep when you mentioned how it felt when the minority supported the transgender granting them validation of their feelings yet this only causes more pain by highlighting the fact the majority still will never accept them regardless of such validation. Paraphrasing as best I can from memory here, but that's how I understood it.
Honestly I wish Csihar would have just asked the question he had in mind directly, then the thread would at least have a more concrete base to build from. Naturally the thread will be derailed because this is a complex topic, no idea how politics worked its way into it though.
