Thanks for that link, was a really interesting read.

As for AC, it does really matter, at least until you hit the hardcap, and even somewhat the softcap. The way that damage is calculated is a d20 roll for the mob. You can parse this with yourself and any single mob in game, everything and everybody has a min hit, a max hit, with 18 other hits in between (for a total of 20 different damage hits). AC vs their attack will never change those values, what it does is move the average up or down...having High AC will make the average of all hits move towards the lower values in that hit range, low AC will move the average up to higher values. If I remember correctly, a check is rolled against your avoidance first (dodge, parry riposte, block etc), and if that fails then a roll is made with their attack vs your ac to see where that d20 lands on that sliding scale.

Side note....when I wrote the title I was insanely tired, I should have put Displayed AC, and not char window AC....although Im certain most people understand what I meant.
