After seeing a few posts putting Enchanter higher up in the rankings because of a charmed pet, why wouldn't a Bard also be higher up. Can't a bard charm just as well? Add melee damage on top of that, seems like maybe they should be at the top.

The main reason this wouldn't work is the fact that our Charm lasts a maximum of 12 seconds. You can reapply it once it finishes, but even assuming no resists (which is ridiculous since it resists rather often), you still risk getting beat on a lot.
