I hear this a lot from other people. ^

When I stopped using FB, what I did was I PM'd every "friend" I had listed and asked them to write me at my email, to use my email as a way to keep in touch because i was no longer going to use FB.

Out of 40-50 people I had listed on FB, 3-4 actually did that and still do to this day.

I do not miss social interactions IRL because I do not use FB, I only miss out on social interactions if I choose to not keep in touch using the phone, emails, written mail, etc.

There are alternative ways to stay in touch with others other than using FB.

I honestly think either people are addicted to FB and use this as an excuse, or they really believe they simply have to have it because everybody else has it.
I'm aware there are other methods of communication than Facebook, but surely you can see how removing myself from one of the most commonly used social sites would negatively impact the amount of communication I receive. People are lazy, and usually that means invites for shit go out on Facebook and nowhere else. I don't want to count on a special invitation to parties, because I would miss out on quite a lot that way.
