Yeah I gotta say I've never heard that one. You can walk into a cleared camp that's been recently vacated and claim it via your presence. The guy that shows up 4 minutes later doesn't get to FTE race you for it... that's stupid.
Also, I started EQ in 1999. I started on P99 in 2012. You've been here 13 months longer, so grats!
