it still a fair question in all honesty. i would guess though that it just that the cleric is very sensitive about direction/authority and is generally offended by being told what to do. there a lotta people like that though you just gotta understand that how they are and seek a different approach ^^

the part that confused me is that it seemed the cleric generally understood the situation and it was pretty obvious what he was doing (flustering the shaman, or whatever it was who got mad at him), but he continued doing it. That suggests he either mean or not really any smarter than the guy who upset him.

I'm leaning toward mean, because had he been trying to make a point, he could have done so easily with some explanation. in reality though it probably just apathy. he probably wanted to log and that guy rustling him was enough excuse to go find something better to do with his time ^^
