REIF is the best sustained dps for melee shaman.
And as mentioned above the shield helps with stats+AC.

I sold mine though because at level 60 with torp, epic and all spells. You don't melee actively as a shm. But for the time I had it, it was a lot of fun. Especially considering shm is a priest class.
It's 7-8k price tag may or may not be worth it. I've seen two, in person, drop inside kael. Definately a rare-ultra rare droprate. Never had one drop in my time farming the wurm in GD.

What i did to get mine was check the oracles in kael every morning in the platehouse. you just need to get a low level in there with faction. warrior/shaman of rallos zek works. just check the oracles and see if they are holding it. then get yourself a crew and head in there
