I mean on one hand I get it, becuse like any enemy of the state could print up a bunch of fake info, but if you released that info, and then the (about 0.003% of actual) journalists would find out it was all fake and make you look dumber in the process.
But it comes from an erra where the cold war was going full swing and the amount of miss information and the inability to prove it is fake was HUGE...
So on one hand I agree, on the other hand I could see why someone would raise a stink about this, but in NO WAY should it justify literally doing exactly what you were complaining about was a waste of time by the right one year ago... thats dramatically retarded.
