Good luck explaining that to him, he doesn't grasp that. Actually it's funny because no one really seems to hate Baler. He just thinks they do.
In fact, he is the only one that ever expresses hate towards anyone.
It's a tad annoying seeing you offering a simple and fun contest with a super uber item as a reward and some people actually think it's some sort of scam.

I just worry about the bottleneck running up to you to open trade. I think some of the ideas above were on the right track making it somewhat of a challenge locating you in a hidden spot for the turn in.
