Look at the end game on this server. End game content is won by... whoever has no life whatsoever and can run to their character select screen in seconds to SLAY THE DRAGON!!! If some of you don't realize what it's like in the top guilds, let me tell you a couple things. This isn't like live where guilds are stable. The turnover rate is fast and thorough. In a three-month period, these guilds have turnover in excess of 75% of the members and it DOES NOT MATTER. Plug any group of shaved apes into the guild, grind out some planar armor for them and back to the poopsock until the new crop is burned out and quits.
On a PVP server, the skill of every single player matters. Everyone knows who's prepared, responsive and creative. Sullon Zek was the most intense gaming experience of my life. There were literally times I stood up from my keyboard and screamed in utter rage and frustration. That was in large part because I was too stubborn to reroll off the good team.
P99 is sort of fun, but it's also pretty dull. Honestly, how can you NOT succeed against this content? Even if you don't know it inside-out, hello, go read a spoiler? On the other hand, let's see you trivialize Nagafen with your zerg force while committed forces from both of the other teams are bringing you every mob in the zone, burning down your tanks and clerics and breaking all your CC. Your first PVP battle will leave you confused and angry. Later that night you'll think, "Hey, I should have tried this..." After your first kills, you'll find yourself thinking about who you're going to nail next.
How many of you would like to kill me? I know it's more than a few. And you better believe I'd like to personally slaughter each and every one of you. I can't wait to play on the P99 red server. Go-Go Good Team!

While it may bring a totally different and far more intense raiding experience, EQ PvP has always been bullshit garbage because the game wasn't designed for it (Smedly said it himself). EQ classes are not and never have been balanced for PvP. If a Wizard wants you dead, guess what? You're going to die and there is really nothing you can do about it. Playing a Warrior, Rogue, or Monk in EverQuest PvP is akin to bringing grandma's station wagon to the Daytona 500.
While it may be funny to take someone's gear once you kill them, it was always an awful aspect of EQ PvP.
