If you did your drop transfer somewhere obscure and the items were not picked up by another player, the GMs will reimburse you.
Make a petition in the petition forums and you will get your items back eventually if they were not scooped by another player. Be sure to include what was dropped where and when.

Pretty sure I've heard Sirken on stream say if you are dumb enough to drop it then you are smart enough to deal with losing it. Or something along those lines.
