If you think of psychotic suicidal depression as a legitimate illness (I'm not expecting you to, it's debatable, but many do), you could absolutely argue that her words amounted to mens rea and actus rea, a purposeful desire to kill him with his condition. Judging by some of the texts I read, it seemed that way. She acknowledges his mental illness and is quite persistent with linking that to the act of suicide.

All they had to do for involuntary manslaughter was prove he probably wouldn't have killed himself anyway during that time period... which probably wasn't overly difficult considering they had thousands of lines of text of him protesting and resisting before she finally convinced him, over the course of only a few days.
