Bah. It doesn't mean he's ever played rift. It doesn't mean he's ever even read a rift article. Same for buying plat, viewing a site that sells plat, or anything like that.
I bet anyone who has ever visited any site about any MMO gets those same adds regularly.
My adds right now are an H&R Block one (but I've already got my refunds for this year, and I use turbotax every year) and a car insurance one (even though I've sworn that I'll murder the people who make up auto insurance commercials if I ever come face to face with them, because I hate their damned deceptive advertisings, and I would personally boycot this insurer just because of this). Go figure, eh?
