Out of game you can edit your eqclient.ini file and change the appropriate resolution settings (depending on whether you play in windowed or full mode) to any resolution you want ... that doesn't ruin your text..

I like the EQclient way because I don't play fullscreen, but I like EQ to take up the whole window. So, you can set a custom resolution to make room for that titlebar.
Example
EQCLIENT.INI
LINE 518|[VIDEOMODE]
LINE 519|WindowedWidth=1280 (Current desktop resolution)
LINE 520|WindowedHeight=1004 (Current desktop resolution-20)
With those settings, with a classic titlebar, on a 1280x1024 resolution desktop, the EQ window would cover everything without missing anything. (if you hide your start menu)
