Dkp systems are really hard to manage, i put up with that shit for 2 years in vanilla wow. Loot council overall did a good job. Near the end it got messy cause everyone knew it was comin to an end, no avoiding that.
Tbh the real reason empire burned out was because we had no competition and no fights. If there was an actual contesting guild it would have been much more fun for those first 8 months of velly.

This server has a revolving door of 100 raiders with 10 people that fight over leading the 100 raiders. It doesn't matter what the guild tag is there will never be long term competition here.
