With 90 people nothing is essential. There will always be enough people capable of playing the right characters to kill anything in Velious. (but if you really want to go there) I played an essential class on the majority of all raids.
Speaking of gear.. I could take gear on a Potato and it wouldn't matter. Your Shadowknight argument makes no sense. For some reason they awarded Bards gear, because landing Fufils and going AFK requires best in slot gear? You try telling <Ragnarok> they can't take gear on any character they want and they'll flip to <Apex> faster than you can say "welcome back Gongshow, I'm ready to cling to your nuts".
I should have gone AFK in the corner with Salaryman on my Shadowknight. The outcome would have likely been the same. Instead I was an idiot pulsing bard songs, and doing my best in the heal chain on a cleric. The fact that this was the reality of things outlines the flaws in how gear was awarded in <Empire> |
you seem to have missed the idea that we leaned in favor of putting gear on relevant classes
i would prefer not to gear out your worthless shadowknight over people who play useful classes and/or didn't skip all the growing pains to jump on the farm status gravy train
