People who roll a character with the intent of 'this will be fun to play' rarely make it to level 54+. Those playing a character with the intent of 'this is what I need to play' are the ones that actually follow through. It sounds trite, but it is true for this.
If the Enchanter is the best fit for you as a player out of all the other classes, stick with it regardless of what others are playing. As you reach towards the endgame, most of them will have swapped to something else. And as a side note as to what the server seems to be lowest on, my votes would be for paladin / cleric / rogue / wizard. There seems to be PLENTY of all the others running around at all levels.
