I spent more time picking my character's name than I did playing the game. I have even not started characters because I just couldn't come up with a good name.
Takes me between 6 hours - a few days to find just the right name. Especially because many names are taken.
While I don't hate the idea of a way to change your characters name. People would abuse the heck out of it and do very bad things. Which would lead to more headache for the staff.
