From a
Troll Shaman PvP guide, the earliest rendition I found of it was early 2002, but that still means it was in the game at that point. I'm willing to bet that it was inventory click from the start up until some point, but this is the best evidence I can find that it, in fact, was available. This one actaully is quoting information about the Shovel of Ponz, which leads me to think all four of the items were inventory clickable

Reclaim Energy kills your pet, but gives you mana (depending on the amount of HP your pet has). Awesome for emergencies when you need an extra 200 mana, or for when you need to zone and your pet would die anyway.

Please give us reclaim energy, its bad enough our pets are almost always green at 51! Not a new spell until 55 either (i.e. a lot of recasts unless its a group)!
