Rot is in reference to an item "rotting" because the item can't be picked up and eventually fades away with the corpse. At 24 I'd be working toward haste and picking up WR bags like recommended.

I'd recommend getting one Large Soiled Bag (
http://wiki.project1999.com/Large_Soiled_Bag) and filling the rest with
http://wiki.project1999.com/Lionhide_Backpack or
http://wiki.project1999.com/Shralok_Pack. Both of the mobs that drop these bags also drop particularly useful items for monks, making them very worthwhile to camp even beyond obtaining the bags.
I carry around one Large Soiled Bag, a Treasure Hunter's Satchel, Kavruul's Mystical Pouch, and 4 Bag of the Tinkerers (These last 6 bags will be pretty expensive but ultimately considered the best WR bags you can obtain)
