So instead of abandoning them you'd rather....abandon them? That's a head-scratcher.
There is of course a third option: Simply resist the Pixel Sickness and ignore the high-end. 100% of all standard group and lower end raid content is fully doable by people wearing Thurgadin armor or worse. Even the high-end raids were initially defeated by people wearing Kunark gear. You do not need North Temple Veeshan gear to gain full use and enjoyment out of this game.
