No special treatment, no special protections. Corporations aren't people or individuals. They are businesses and can be regulated.
The way I see it, corporations are like clubs of people, their kind of communes. In a way some exist to pool resources, as global forces are too big to compete with individually, so their sort of socialism / communism, but without any real accountability. They exist in this super grey area. It's good because of global economy, and it's overtaking us, so the wrong regulations would destroy our corporations ability to compete globally.
This is where I'm a real nub and bow to economists and nerds who know the theory.
