The last statement was aimed towards the devs, more than just your random trolls. Honestly, if they would just say something along the lines of the following, it would go far to give people like me peace of mind. If they would say something like this:
"We are aware that more rare loot dropped for extremely low level chars than was intended. However, there was no quick and easy fix for this like there was for lowering the initial drop rate. And not only that, we had issues with the boats and people dying because of it. And on top of that, we were trying to keep a handle on training and griefing of all kinds. We simply did not have the time, nor resources to fix this relatively flaw (which we hope you understand)."
If the devs would just say something like this, I could completely understand why they did not address it. And, like I said, it would just give me peace of mind.
