Misty thicket/rivervale guards are pretty good. You can sell the spears yourself if you want. I think I bound at the WC rings and just gated then sold spears there whenever I had too many. You have to run back from WC every time you want to sell, but I found that it gave an opportune moment to grab something to eat/drink and find a new music playlist.
