Jumping - without alt tab (and at 60fps)- is faster than SoW. You could run the game at around 10~ FPS and get the same benefit if you really wanted to.
Not condoning the use of alt-tab jumping, just explaining how the client works.

Try running an entire race for a mob at 10 FPS. See how that works for you.
