How funny. Of course nothing came of it, but it illustrates the mindset of some folks who succumb to paranoia and always assume the worst of everyone. I shrugged my case off as dorks being dorks and went on with my business, but some folks might not feel like shrugging it off. Some folks might decide to tweak a raging guy and see if he rages himself into a stroke.

Maybe, just maybe, a guide with a long queue might skip over a petition where everyone involved was behaving like a twit.

Don't sweat it. I've failed at a drop transfer before. I assumed the item just ground rotted, so made my bi annual petition to see if I could get it back. Apparently it was actually taken by another player. Once another player takes control of an item that was dropped/given to an npc/sold to vendor it becomes that new players property, so can the original owner cannot be reimbursed.

Despite being stung by this ruling I think it is fair enough. NPC vendors are not safe deposit boxes. They are there to buy and sell goods.
