Fury warriors and rogues are the top damage class on raids at the current stage as well. Emulated servers have yet to properly address glancing blows, but the gap between fury/rogue and anyone else is gigantic. Even with proper glancing blows, the gap would still be large.

Warriors scale better than any class and people try hard enough so that the top guilds have all r14 weapons. I don't know of any guild that does BWL without starting with onyxia and ZG buff. This is in addition to fill consumables.

As nilbog mentioned, these servers all have 1.12 talents. The biggest change from live is warriors having a strong protection tree. Shield slam wasn't added until BWL and it didn't get an aggro modifier until a patch after that. Thus, specs like DPS warriors sucked on live due to threat capping until protection revamp. Hunters who ignored threat were much better.

I'm standard bliz fashion, the first guilds to tackle content faced a far more difficult and/or "bugged" version of it. They did include original onyxia in nostalrius, but that was the extent of it.

Lastly, there was a massive change to the 5 second rule that was patched in after MC was cleared. When MC launched, you went into the 5 second rule when you started a cast as opposed to finishing one. Very large change for healers.

Overall, the game would still be a breeze if you took emulator level players and put them in an appropriate server, but yeah, it was a little harder
