We did not know he fucked up. If Aftermath would stop asking for concessions on every single mob, their requests would have more weight. This is a diversion tactic called "blaming the victim", which is obviously exaggerated in order to persuade others that AW is not in the wrong.
Awakened doesn't care if they're 5 or 500 body lengths over the line.
