omgosh, I finished season 6 a coupe weeks ago, so can participate I this speculation now without runic it for myself ^^

I think it simply speaks to Jorah's character and his love for Deneras. This is a man who entered the slave trade out of affection (presumably) for his last love. There is a chance that it was more out of a sense of duty or something and that may be part of the reason he favors Deneras so strongly now (because so far she has not made him behave immorally, though she has made some questionable calls), but that is something of a tangent i suppose.

I think it is important to not forget that Deneras commanded him to find the cure for that disease and return to her afterwards. Succeeding there just builds him into something truly heroic, a man for whom nothing is impossible through his love for his Queen ^^

Jorah's love for Daenerys is sketchy at best and borderline creepy. The show tries super hard to down play this, but Dany was born near the end of 283AC, and the show starts up right abouts 297AC, making Dany roughly 14 years old when Jorah meets her. And the reason Jorah falls so instantly for her is because of her Valyrian features (platinum blond hair and (in the books) violet/purple eyes). This matters because Jorah's wife was Lynesse Hightower, Whom had the same Valyrian features insofar as the hair and eyes. Dany reminded Jorah of Lynesse, his love for Dany has absolutely nothing to do with Dany other than he really wants that ass. The show is now in about the year 300AC, so Dany is essentially 17 years old by the end of Season 6 when she sends Sir Friendzone away. And don't forget that in both book and show, Jorah was spying on her and assisting in at least one assassination attempt on her life. I'd hardly call that love. at best, Jorah is infatuated with Dany, or, is looking to replace Lynesse with Dany.

as for the greyscale, this one is a bit more tricky. Greyscale is a big fucking deal in this world. there is no known cure, and it is fatal. Shireen Baratheon contracted the disease from a doll that was given to her as a gift while she was an infant. The Baratheon's (as lords of the Stormlands, are a very powerful and respected family with tons of resources available to them) called every maester, healer, witch, priest, etc, that you can think of to try and heal her. In the end, they were able to stop the greyscale from continuing to spread, however due to all the different combinations of shit they tried, nobody really has any idea what it was that actually worked in stopping the disease, and both book and show has made this point and driven it home to the watcher/reader.
Ok so now with that being said, in the books, Jorah doesn't get greyscale. In the books there is a character named "Griff" whom contracts the disease, and theres a whole story that the show cut out that i won't get into, but for whatever reason the show decided to merge part of Griff's story into Jorah's story. But the Greyscale means absolutely nothing if he's able to cure it this quickly. if it was as easy as taking a boat to a healer or to oldtown (the place with all the books that sam was left at the end of season 6), then greyscale wouldnt be nearly as feared as it currently is.

But in the end, I am expecting you will be right. The show will find a way to magically cure his greyscale in the first or second episode, and he'll be right back fighting at Dany's side [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
