Nah I don't cut my gums with the floss picks. I keep them in the car even. Life saver especially when I go out for chicken wings.

The floss harps do prey well, but you can't really wrap the tooth like you can with floss. I'd say bees. Brushing and floss harps you no missing much, but if you ant to give traditional flossing another go without tearing up you gums, try woven floss. Of course, if you are
too aggressive, you can still hurt yourself with it.
