Big J, well thought out but I think a big fallacy you fall for here is not recognizing that transgender and nonbinary people are to entirely separate camps who hate each other.

you can blame society and sex fetishes and liberalism for an increase in people transitioning -- some i'm sure due to awareness/acceptance, but there is definitely a good degree of people transitioning who shouldn't be these days. but there will always be a certain (small) population of endemically transgender people. even among mtf/ftm's there are very distinct camps -- true-trans, autogynephiliac, and swoopy hair transtrenders to name a few.

you start making very incorrect statements once you lump them all together. that's a pretty fair criticism of nonbinary people and also probably autogynephiliacs and tumblr transtrenders but it doesn't really address endemically transgender people or in my opinion apply to them.

point is, endemically trans people hate the other groups because they feel as if their existence is de-legitimized by being lumped in with 50 year old men who want to jerk off in the ladies room. and annoying SJW's who want you to read a 72 page pamphlet on gender identities before talking to them. most endemically transgender people believe in a gender binary of male/female and simply feel as if their body does not reflect the same binary which their mind does or something. a lot of them are very vocal about how stupid they think this shit is.
