No, that's not classic, not even close. Even with Fungus Grove AE groups, or later in PoP with massive zone exp bonuses such as Plane of Valor, no one ever made 6AA/hr.
Of course, I don't see anyone saying that Phinigel is a true classic EQ experience. They're just saying that they're having fun.
