To be fair I never seen Trump drop the N bomb or say it's cool.

Nah, but he
does get a lot of support from the white supremacists/neo-nazis/KKK groups. Those groups and anyone who shares their ideology will consider Trump's presence in the White House as implicit validation. They're gonna come out of the woodwork IRL (and evidently RnF trolls now feel safe in airing their trolliness outside RnF and Off Topic - really, guys?), especially once the electoral college has cast their votes officially.
People who voted for Trump might try to justify it by talking about jobs and economy, but that's like the Southerners who play off the slavery bit of the Civil War by saying it was about the ~economy~ and they are only celebrating their heritage when they wave the Confederate flag, ignoring the fact that slavery WAS the economy back then. These issues are intertwined.
In the end, the US is still struggling with a problem it's always struggled with: taking care of the lower and working class population, regardless of race or legal status. (Note: race has been used historically to divide the working class so they can't unite against the upper class. The fact that they just got a billionaire born with a silver spoon in his mouth elected means they are VERY confused at the moment...not that they had much of a choice because of the party system.)
