I would never defend Project 1999's system of poopsocking raid mobs but yesterday everyone had an equal shot; if you didn't do well it is no one's fault but your own. If your goal is to do instanced content in your own little sandbox on your own time, I suggest you roll on Phinny which will allow you to do precisely that.
