Good post but I have nothing to add at this time.

I will say that it probably isn't healthy for developing social skills. Also, it could be a dopamine destroyer.

DOTA 2/LoL etc are more of a dopamine destroyer than something like EQ, however it depends on how you interpret the theory of dopamine destruction. I know guys who ONLY play DOTA. They are completely cracked out, and the Leagues guys are even more cracked out (Leagues is higher sustained APM) Like their personalities are completely nonexistent, and they get angry easily when not plugged into DOTA or Leagues. They have to be handled with kid gloves and you mostly just don't speak to them because they are so cracked out.

EQ could damage normal dopamine function by slowing down interactions and dopamine hits to an unnatural state. You will notice heavy sedating drugs like marijuana, alcohol, and even opioids are big in the emulated scene. Is this a way to cope with the low APM and still get a stimulating feeling of pleasure despite the stimulus (on paper EQ shouldn't be that stimulating, its extremely low APM) ?

Most EQ players will readily admit they are not a big fan of high APM games. (many have admitted this here). Is that BECAUSE of EQ?? Or is it a genetic predisposition?
Greetings sir; when did you begin to post logical and scientific items?

Has your account been compromised by an educated person or have you actually gone through a phase of self discovery?

Either way I find this post informative and will do some further research into gaming and psychological effects.

THANKS.

<EDIT> here is an extract I found!

Studies have shown that dopamine activity in the nucleus accumbens is the same whether roulette players win or have a near-miss[1]. The release of dopamine every time the player wins or goes through the close-stakes experience of nearly losing motivates the player to keep trying, to take another chance. This kind of encouragement might be beneficial for a game that is based on skill, but it can be damaging when it comes to games of chance. This is partly what’s in effect when drug addicts continue seeking highs, even as they might report that they get little enjoyment from their abuse of drugs. They receive little pleasure, and yet they are compelled to try and try again.

As we can see, dopamine plays a sometimes dangerous and significant role in motivating or compelling someone to keep trying, despite the odds. Further evidence suggests that dopamine has even more influence on those who are already stressed physically and/or mentally. This presents an additional ethical complication for game designers, some of whom build games with a specific goal of capitalizing on dopamine’s motivational effects in order to keep players in the game. Games that are designed this way will likely be more captivating for those who are more vulnerable.

CONCLUSION based on this data:
Everquest is a game of chance rather than skill, since there are only a limited number of abilities per character that simply need to be executed in sequence; this probably explains why Everquest is addictive since people are motivated for the prospect of a reward, which in most cases is based on chance.

PS: I feel like this is something we all already know....
