for me eq started as the best game i ever played. I played it because I lived far away from my friends from school and i didnt have a drivers license being only 13 years old. I played it from 2000-2004 because it was such an amazing game that i could meet people from around the world. After 2004 the game took a population dive and the content also got far worse so i quit playing without a second thought. 7 or 8 years later p99 came out and i played casually for a a few months reliving the old days, quickly it became boring and i used it as an escape from reality from real life issues. For me personally I would say the majority of it was healthy but near the end it became unhealthy.
