well if the files are compressed into a CAB file its not installed yet is it? ..
and if it is installed in the default path it should be C:\Program Files (X86)\Sony\Everquest\
you would point to this directory, since the eqgame.exe should be in there, if there is no eqgame.exe in there you can not start the game and all patching it moot
