Yeah, if you just unzip the files into the folder it appends the new file names to: dbstr_us_1.txt and spells_us_1.txt. Each time you unzip them it just adds another file with the next sequential number (e.g. xxx_us_2.txt, xxx_us_3.txt) which means you may have several of each in there. =P
So you can just delete the original dbstr_us.txt & spells_us.txt files or rename them (which is what I did, by adding an x to the front of their name).
After you do the rename or the delete, unzip again.
After you do those things, double check your folder to make sure you have:
dbstr_us.txt dated 2010_02_04 &
spells_us.txt dated 2011_03_11.
^^ If that's what you have then things will work!
EDIT: Just wanted to add that normally you get a prompt asking you if you want to OVERWRITE existing files when you unzip an updated set of files into a folder where a file with the exact same name already exist. That is not happening (at least for me and it looks like several others here as well). So instead of it being a quick, one step process you have to do the renaming or deleting of the original files to make it work.
