It's weird to me when people find out someone is a huckster and then proceed to believe their credibility on all sorts of topics important to them (namely, spirituality or politics).
Its like those people that talk to salesmen that call them on the phone or come to their door. Whats wrong with your brain?
You know what a salesmen thinks when you start explaining the reasons you can't buy the shit their hawking? "Wow, this one of the pathetic idiots I can talk into buying x"
Trust me, I grew up around salesmen. That is how they think about anyone who will talk to them, give them attention, treat them like a human being in general. They have to dehumanize you in order to do their job well.
And that's how these self promoting spiritual gurus and political pundits look at people that buy their shitty books and products. "These fuckin' idiots would give their money to some other con if I don't take it."
The only person I've seen start to transition from huckster to honest political pundit is Ann Coulter. She started off hucking her BS books written for the people that would clean her toilets in one of her family vacation houses growing up. Then all the sudden she was starting to make more sense in her analysis and warning the party about charlatans (i.e. people like her). She is actually turning into one of the better rightwing pundits now.
But maybe its all bullshit and she will decide she needs to write a few more crappy books about how evolution is fake or liberals are all evil. It must be hard to say no to that kind of free money. She probably wouldn't even have to write it herself!
As for this douchebag, he owes his career to having a British accent and almost no morals.
