She has been wearing that human suit for too long now, afraid to take it off for fear of cameras or spying eyes. Her reptilian DNA is rejecting the graft and she's basically suffering from a system wide infection as her immune system struggles to combat what it sees as a foreign object.
This is particularly dangerous for her now, because as we near the election, her body is going into it's reproductive phase to allow her to begin spawning her reptilian army. You saw last week as she evacuated two of her eggs into a glass of water until her aid was able to take them to the hatchery.
