Isn't the narrative that it's the conservatives that are racist? And didn't the Democratic part used to be conservative?

I find the 'Repugs are racist' line to be a gross generalization and an ad hominem most of the time but it seems like the "No, you're the real racists!" line that's being used more and more (including about black people) to be just as bogus.
