American Indians are indeed classified under Mongoloids. Indians were not. There is a reason why the Swastika originally came from that region and why the northern Indians (the lines are blurred now but there used to be 2 very distinct groups in India) are historically known as the Indo-Aryans.
You failed to mention how the north Africans and people from the Middle East are not Caucasoid. Or are they classified under Mongoloid and Negroid?
Do you have any evidence to back up your claim? Any reason why wikipedia would 'scrub light skinned'?
Dictionaries simply refer to how words are used and are not a good reference for this type of information.

Not going to get into this too much, as I know exactly how and why they classify different races under the 3 root races. It has everything to do with IQ and religious dogma regarding evolution. Under said racist dogma, negroids are the primitive race and caucasoids are the "evolved" higher form of man.
Not worth going any further, but this reshuffling that mostly took place post-Darwin in the 20th century is what is now passed off as correct. How people reincorporated swastikas or other pagan symbols is irrelevant.
