So i deleted the files and was instantly able to log in. However, I do not think the deletion of the files was the actual resolution and here is why. I was able to zone into Felwithe from Gfay without issue and ground transfer some items to my twink (8 backpacks full of Crushbone belts & pads). I then logged onto my level 1 and attempted to zone out of Felwithe into Gfay and it paused and kicked me straight back to the login screen. I tried getting back in at least a dozen times and yes I deleted the ini and config file for this toon as well with no luck at all.

I tried again this morning before leaving for work and was able to get in on the 3rd attempt. I zoned into Butcherblock, camped, and confirmed I was able to get back in on the first try.

I noticed Jalico is a satellite user and so am I. I think this does have something to do with bandwidth/speed but it only seems to affect Gfay. So the real question is what can we do as satellite users to resolve this? Oh, and satellite or dial up are my only options unfortunately - I would give my left nut for cable or DSL at this point.

Completely agree with you here..... I have tried to do whatever I can to get better internet service but haven't been able to find anything yet.

Now for an update:

I was placed in Felwithe and was able to load in correctly as per normal. Then did a transfer with a buddy one bag at a time, zoned out and zoned back in making sure each bag was good to go.

latency was going up the more items I had on my character but I was still able to zone into and out of Gfay perfectly fine, though with more and more of a wait time (could have been me getting more and more nervous it was going to crash, though, too). This especially became apparent after my backpack of 3 stacks of food, 3 stacks of water, and 2 almost full stacks of tiny daggers, my latency once getting into zone (which is when it is highest for me until it settles down) was right about 1100ms (feel lucky any other internet user). This was up compared to the ~950ms when I had no gear at all in my inventory or body.

The bag that caused me to disconnect while zoning into Gfay (and actually give me a "You have been disconnected" black screen) was my bag of stacked gems for my jewelry making. I had a lot (not 8 stacks of 20) in there. Luckily I was able to relog back on without a GM forcibly moving me to Felwtihe. Once logged on, zoned perfectly back into Felwithe and I am in the process of removing all of those gems either by selling or jewelry making.

An earlier post was brought up and I think it fits our case right now, @urbanbo. And this is only a somewhat decently researched hunch, may not be the only recourse. As a satellite user, we can only run so much BW before we get booted..... and really I think it has more to do with time than anything else (not sure if this could possibly change from a dev's perspective). It tends to kick me approximately 2 mins after loading into a zone that it won't allow me in. That seems to be the approximate time for a disconnect anyways and I think the server boots us/ gives up on the connection even if our internet is still connected and we're just loading extremely slowly.

So if we have a ton of items (stackable or not) in and out of the bank, AND we are heading into a "bankable" zone, our characters have to load as well as the bankable items in case we hit that up. The special case appears to be Gfay itself. As a large and widely used zone, the latency is already going to be a little higher than normal, not to mention the city within that has the merchants and bank, etc.... with the loading that already has to happen, PLUS our item counts, it appears to be

Honestly I hope this is the reason and answer to our problems cause I haven't been able to look at most of Kunark, or in the case of FV, even set foot in. If this helps me fix some of the zoning issues, it just means I have to live the minimalist life until I get into the zone I plan on using. If you're problem is similar to mine, which is sounds so, once I am loaded into a zone, I'm perfectly fine to move about and act as normal and interact just fine; its the loading in that causes the crash.

I hope this helps anyone else having issues. I was really happy I didn't have to delete my character and start over.

tl;dr..... items create more latency inside and out of bank slots, latency issues compounded with slow internet possibly times out users during load in to large zones (especially with banks). Solve by getting rid of a bunch of items until you can work properly.
