Serious question here. Do u honestly believe I'm not good enough at Everquest to join A/A and park my char at tov and log in when batphone goes off and cast torpor/chloroblast a bunch? There's like 8 ex-BDA members in Awakened right now that I know of and not all of them were all-stars even in BDA. Why do u retards act like what you're doing takes special skills and everyone else is bad? The "skills" u have are lack of anything else to do with your life and the patience and willingness to stare at your monitor for SIXTEEN HOURS without blinking so u can get FTE and "earn" those pixels cause we all know if u don't stare for 16 hrs for pixels they're worthless right?
Let's not forget like 80% of you don't even do anything. You just log in when your phone beeps and hit your backstab/ch/nuke buttons a buncha times til the mob dies.

You have to understand that there are two distinct types of people in these guilds: trackers/racers and warm bodies. As you say, casting torpor or hitting the backstab button is pretty trivial. However, racing is not. Even if Bill Gates offered me 1 million dollars per Vulak FTE, I don't have the focus to stare at the screen for 16 hours at a time and then race up efficiently. People who can and will do this are very valuable here - there are probably only 20-30 of them on the entire server.
Now, I think this a fucking stupid thing to be good at. And I think it's crazy that the staff have deliberately created a raid scene that is finely tuned for 20 players out of 2000+ that play here regularly at high level. I would be very curious to hang out at a staff meeting about this some time. But, it's not going to change and that's what Phinigel is for.
The problem IMO is when A/A members start conflating racing with actual EverQuest. For example, Detoxx/Legday's suggestion that A/A could race for NTOV dragons but then leave them up until the end of the week. This only makes sense if they seriously believe that no other guilds are capable of killing them uncontested, which is of course complete nonsense. Or all of the updates to the various guild threads where they claim to be elite in some way or another.
