If you wanna make P99 raiding not a pile of shit you either need EXTREMELY long windows so people don't poopsock OR reasonably short windows so you don't have to waste an entire fucking day to track 1 mob. I was always a big fan of reducing variance to like a 2 hour window (+/- 1) or maybe 4 hr window. If you sit back and think about it logically does it really make sense to have to track dragons in emulated elf simulator from 1999 for 16 hours straight? Or on the flip side u just go nuts and make it a 5 day variance on every mob so nobody poopsocks tracking and just kills mobs when they happen to find them up. But in reality we all know that won't happen. Top 2-3 guilds will still have permanent trackers at all the important targets. I know pretty much for a fact that certain people have access to 3rd party software that automatically tracks for them. So no amount of variance is going to stop them if they can just afk track everything.
You can't cure pixel sickness. You can only put a bandaid on it. Small variance and frequent simrepops is the best route imo. But the powers that be have no interest in fixing things it seems. Hence why I and many others left and don't plan to return.
