I don't know how to answer you regarding the strictly rules interpretation. I found myself really few times in situation like that. Most of the time ppl i met are really cool and you can easy work out everything talking.
But, since (sh)it happens sometimes .. i would only point out an honest mistake you made. If you are sure repop didn t occur before you come back .. never say "i left to sell\bank\whatever" .. just answer "I ve always been here ... how you didn t see me ?"

Yeah I got the clarification that he was right so I concede to that. Now I know so I'll just have to be more careful in the future.
