I live near Oradour-Sur-Glane. Every year we still find bombs that didn't explode, and have to call deminers. Actually had to call them because we had some construction at my work, and the area had been bombed in WW2 since it's close to a trainstation.. just in case. At the current rate, we think we're gonna be done with them all in 800 years. There's even a 450 squared miles zone where it's forbidden to build or even live because it's been shelled so much. |
