And actually that is pretty sad, sounds way worse than my neighborhood where we are armed to the teeth and never had a shooting since houses were first built here some 30yrs ago. But then this isn't a Democrat liberal controlled big city where most of those murders take place. In some of those cities, police have been literally driven out of communities by the residents and left to fend for themselves.
Who gives two F's about France anyway? The French side of my family left before the revolution, then fought against the British in the American revolution. If they would have stayed in France, likely they would have been slaughtered in the defeat of the French by the French.

As far as for French defeats, not totally accurate. In the case of "de Gaulle Syndrome" where French do win wars, in the case were Americans do most of the fighting. I'd thank France for the little belated help in the American revolution, but they were all murdered on Bastille day some years later, that France stopped existing long ago.
